Once a year
Boiler manufacturers ask for a service every twelve months. Most warranties stop covering faults if the boiler has missed a service, so keep the paperwork.
What happens during a service
- The engineer checks the flue and the gas pressure
- They measure the flue gases to confirm the boiler burns safely
- They clean the parts that collect dirt and test the safety devices
- You get a written record of the checks
Why it is worth it
A service picks up worn parts before they fail in the middle of winter. It also confirms that the boiler is not producing carbon monoxide.
Book before the cold weather
September and October are the easiest months to get a slot. Book online or call the office and we will add a reminder for next year.
